Detailed written feedback on your ToK Essay or Exhibition commentary, and follow this up with an online coaching session for further clarification. Alternatively, we can hold the coaching session first to help you to get ideas for your Draft. You can then write your Draft, when it is finished you can send it to me, and then detailed receive written feedback.

Detailed written feedback on ToK Essay / Exhibition + a 45 min online session explaining the feedback with suggestions for development of the essay / exhibition commentary.
The written feedback will include:
Detailed annotation of your draft Essay / Exhibition Commentary.
Written explanation of the strengths of your work, and the areas for development.
Written explanation of ways to approach the areas for development.
Annotated IB Assessment Rubric to indicate current attainment.
The online coaching session gives you an opportunity to discuss the written feedback, and to get further clarification on points in the written feedback.
During the coaching session on The Essay we can look at the elements required for a high score in the ToK Essay, including the following areas:
Definitions of key terms & concepts.
Knowledge Arguments & Counterarguments.
Evaluation points.
Implication points.
During the coaching sessions on The Exhibition we can look at the elements required for a high score in the ToK Exhibition, including the following areas:
Choice of prompt.
Choice of objects.
Link between the object and prompt.
The specificity of the knowledge argument arising from each object.
Of course, we can also look at any other areas that you want help / advice on.
You will need to send me your Essay / Exhibition commentary at least 48 hours before the session (send to Daniel@ToKToday.com).
The online Coaching Session is 45 minutes long.
All online sessions with students will be recorded. The recordings will be shared with the student. This enables the student to refer back to the content in the session when they are developing their ToK Essay / Exhibition. The recording also serves a safeguarding function.
Online feedback sessions will be arranged by email, and will use either Google Meetings, Teams or Zoom (whichever the student prefers).
